Orderedcake from Espresso Bakery in Paarden Eiland for an event. I was there to collect at 3:55pm astheir shop apparently closes at 4pm Fridays, however, Google says they close at 4:30pm. Arrived there and the shop was closed. Dialledthe number on the invoice 0860 105 788 and pressed no. 1 for orders, no answer. I then had tomake alternative arrangements to get cake for the event which costed me even more money. Phoned on Monday morning and spoke to a manager by the name of Alex, he told me thatthere is nothing he can do and I must do whatever I want to do with the cake.He even said I can donate the cake but I will not be getting a refund. He alsosaid that it is not their problem that my time is not in sync with their andthat is my problem. I will never support Espresso Bakery again. This was theworst service ever
I am a frequent customer, and always have good reviews regarding the food, cakes ect However, today I bought a steak pie and the pastry was still raw inside and I chucked it away. I shared this comment with my colleague and they advised that they experienced the same recently and brought it to the attention of the staff at the shop. It seems the standard/quality of the pies are dropping which is quite disappointing and definitely not good for business.
