One of the infamous takeaways in the southern suburbs. If you want a gatsby, no place makes it better than them. The quality of food is great but I do find them to be really pricey. Yesterday just bought a parcel for lunch which was great.
Horrible experience . Ordered a half lamb curry Gatsby for R120. Had absolutely no salard and was completely upside down and a complete mess. 98% chips and 2 % meat and so dry. A complete waste of money. There is also 1 very unfriendly person working at the counter. Will never eat here again.
We decided to get a takeaway as we always do. We were told to collect in 25 min. When hubby arrived he waited and waited an hour in total. They had forgotten about our order. He finally got the order it was wrong for 1. I asked for no garnish on my chicken burger they then proceeded to put no garnish on both our meals. Our meals were both Ice cold and my husbands full house toasted sandwich was on bread and not toasted. This whole meal was very far from anything that needs to be desired. I always go there but since the renovation everything is pricey and actually the food has gone to the dogs. I feel this should of been handled in a better manner instead of the manager telling me he doesn’t understand why it was cold. Not even a sorry or anything.Please be mindful that we are the paying customers and with out customers your business won’t stay afloat.Kind RegardsTarryn Alexander
For a bite of Cape Town history,make a point of going to this establishment.The menu is awesome,the establishment clean,and the food is great.The pricing however is a real deterrent .Compared to other places to eat,I found cosy corner not cosy on my pocket at all.Unfortunate.
