A few of us used to go here a lot. Was my favourite place and we went at least once a week. The two staff that worked there used to run the restaurant – no problem with very efficient and friendly service. Recently an elderly woman has started working there. She does not allow the guys to do their job, and anything they do she criticizes. The service was much slower and she made the experience unpleasant, telling the staff what to do the entire time when they already know what they are doing; and are good at it. Please let the two men run the store again. Or with the owner at least. The poor man couldn’t even pick up a piece of chicken without her attacking the way he was doing it.
ok, it’s not the ritz, but it’s real curry, real good, good service too, good lamb curry, real taste of curry and of lamb, welcome addition to eating out
In terms of Indian cuisine, they have tasty foods at affordable prices. The restaurant was slightly hot and stuffy though and their service was slow and impersonal. Can’t complain about though food though, a very average experience.
this was quite easily one of my poorer life choices. fusion is very much a fast food place, i always see it filled with UCT students so I thought I’d give it a shot. Got the lamb curry and a tandoori chicken burger, the curry was poorly seasoned and it tasted as if the curry powder were still raw – the chicken was extremely dry and came with an inexplicably thick slice of tomato, just no.
Hot Fusion’s magical aroma of spices and freshly-cooked curries lured me inside once upon a time, and I’ve been back many times since. The employees and owners are always very friendly and helpful. For example, they guided me in choosing a meal that would have no dairy in it, since I am lactose-intolerant.The prices are also decent, especially their specials. R37 for a half-portion of chicken curry and rice is fair. I just hope they don’t raise the prices anytime soon. The food itself is tasty. I’ve had the beef curry, and a number of their different chicken curries. All options are flavorful, and the beef is slow-cooked, and thus very succulent. The choices of rice that I had each time added an extra dimension to the meal – one that I look forward to.Give Hot Fusion a go – It is bound to beat almost any establishment along Rondebosch Main Road, in flavor, quality, service, and price.
