The service is horrible at this venue. Staff always seem to be too busy to assist and almost stop functioning 30 minutes to closing. It has more of a deli feel than restaurant. Food is tasty however. And prices are cheap especially their breakfast deals.
I had lunchwith my family friends and all of us are facing the problem of food poisoning. This is happening second time within a month and I had also complaint about it verbally. But this time, I am feeling prudent to complainto you to understand the gravity of the matter. Although, it is a renowned restaurant and it has a cool and clean environment but the kitchen standards and quality of food need to be verified on the earliest. Secondly, chefs and workers involve in food making or items handling need to be checked whether they are fulfilling the requirement of self-cleanliness or not. I hope you would focus on highlighted area to avoid such problems in future.
I was really disappointed with the service I got to day. I ordered a chicken breast sandwich and just wanted to get water with my order. Despite the fact that I was a paying customer (and a regular customer who gets his lunch from Social Bean almost every week day) I was told that the water is self-service.I don’t mind full self service but if I have to get my own water, do I need a waiter to get anything to begin with, really defeats the purpose of sitting in.
Cheap, decent and quick breakfast. I often go to social bean for the breakfast special (R35) which is great value for money. It’s definitely a pensioner’s hotspot and therefore, I often find myself being the only person below 50. The staff are sweet and it’s generally an ok place!
