Wonton soup – thick gummy wrappers. Tasty filling. Spring onion pancake – tasteless, oily.Chair siu steamed buns – inedible. Sweet. Unidentifiable filling.Kung bo beef – tender, flavourful but gave my boyfriend food poisoning. What’s the point if you’re going to regurgitate it later? Do not recommend; stay away.

Their crispy duck with pancakes, cucumber and spring onion makes my mouth melt! The weird thing is both times that I have been there recently, the whole restaurant has been empty and we have been served by the manager.Weird considering how amazing the food is!

The restaurant lacks any sort of atmosphere. The food is very overpriced based on the quality and quantity. Was not impressed paying R30 for springrolls and it turned out to be 2 springrolls cut into three pieces each. The chicken chow mein didn’t have any real flavour. The egg foo young was good though.

My boyfriend and I decided to try out Mr Chan’s as we felt like something semi-healthy to eat. I ordered the braised tofu with mushrooms and rice and my boyfriend ordered beef with mushrooms and rice. The food was quite good. It was very flavorful and well-presented. Although this is more Western Chinese food, it was still really yummy
