Thank you to David, Roca’s Maitre D who was kind enough to fit us in on a very busy day. As always, the food was excellent (an Easter menu with specialities), and the team, very accommodating. We had snails in lemon sage butter with gnocchi, roast beef salad, fillet, springbok, chocolate mousse and a cheese platter. The view is magnificent and the food was extremely beautifully presented and tasty. My only criticism is that the portions are MINUTE. I’m only 49kg but I left hungry. So my advice would be to increase portion sizes a smidgen. Then I could give it a 5.
I had lunch at Cafe Roca in franschoek today. I’m hoping this finds its way to the restaurant as it doesn’t seem to be loaded on Zomato. I enjoyed a virgin cocktail, the fish and chips,. Y daughter lived the salad and the croquettes. The desert was divine too.
Service was outstanding. Everyone from the matre d to the waiter who in this case was Cedric. Food was excellent, balanced, worth every penny. Best winetram spot for lunch by a mile.
