No specific cuisine. Choices includes Italian, Thai, South African, Moroccan so one would expect it to be easy to choose but with so many choices it did take time to make a decision. I ordered Thai Green Curry and asked our waitress to add more spice if possible. She confirmed that the kitchen can make it spucy. The food was tasty but it was far from spicy. It did taste good so can forgive them for the lack of spice. I did deduct 1 point for the fact that the bottle of chilli sauce served was dirty and nearly empty (about 2ml left in the bottle) . Same with the olive oil and balsamic vinegar served with bread on arrival. I will rather pay more if they cannot afford to fill the bottles but serving it nearly empty is unacceptable. Really!?? This place has lots of potential but they need to give attention to detail if they expect me to return. Food 3.5/5Price 3.5/5Service 3/5Ambience 4/5Attention to detail 1/5
Was not very impressed with Barrique, had the pork belly for a starter, was average, the italian beef for a main drapped in rosemary oil and chips was very chewy. Very disapointed in the barrique experience. The wine served by Neethlingshof hof which was a merlot was really nice and the service was great.
We had a lovely experience for Easter lunch. The staff were welcoming and the service was good. The menu is perfect for all tastes and also not too big. After checking in with Facebook I received a free glass of wine which was a lovely surprise. If you’re looking for a cozy winter restaurant look no further. This place has it all.
Friendly service, good wine, food is very traditional. I really enjoyed the mussels starter but wasn’t too impressed with my main course of linefish & calamari. I expected the calamari to be grilled – because I asked if it was (but it was fried when it arrived) and the veggies consisted of a few green beans and carrots (waiter also didn’t know what veggies were being served when I asked) and I found it a bit oily. My friend enjoyed her smoked salmon salad.
