Good wine in a quite secluded area. A great place to unwind and escape the city. What would really take this place to 5 stars is a little bit of work on the ambience✨
The most consistent restaurant. I have been here over 15 years at various times and always value for money. Music is fantastic and food to match. If you in the Cape Town wine area it is a must to try.
Good wine is meant to be share with good friends. I got the opportunity to experience a wine tasting with fig pairing and thoroughly engaged the time spent at the restaurant.
This was a surprise experience – I did not plan on eating here . We went to the estate for wine tasting which was very affordable and enjoyable and then we decided to stay for lunch .Ambience : The restaurant has an indoor and outdoor section . Since it was a summer day we chose to be seated outside under the trees . It was really lovely to be seated in a garden like setting with the sun and breeze streaming through and little birds chirping around .Service : The service was good , hospitable and friendly and not in your face .Drinks: Since it’s a wine estate – the price of a bottle of wine is the same price as the cellar . It works out way cheaper to get the bottles and since we did the tasting we knew exactly what we liked .Food: On arrival we received a bread board with two varieties of bread , butter and a spread . I ordered a lamb cutlet salad – which to my surprise was refreshing , tasty and I thoroughly enjoyed it . A lamb burger was also ordered ( I didn’t take a picture of it) but it was served on a ciabatta roll and instead of a mince patty it was slices of saucy lamb . Our entire table left satisfied and happy with our meal .I didn’t order the platters – but that too looked amazing and delicious.I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
