We had a picnic in the garden of Hartenberg Estate and it was lovely! The table was laid out under shady trees, blankets and picnic basket provided. Good coffee, as well. Highly recommend it!
The snoek pate was incredible. The staff was amazing and value for money is great. Good environment a place that you have to visit. Please don’t forget to try the homemade bread was delicious. ❤️❤️❤️❤️.
Celebrated our son’s 21st here with a Celebration table decked out by Johann van der Merwe. Scrumptious food, a beautiful setting and service like none. A fantastic evening overall and Johann must be complemented for his contribution.
Hartenberg is one of my favourite wine estates, and I’ll visit them in a heartbeat. Yes, I love their wine, I love their food, but, most of all, I love their hospitality. Most recently I visited them to try their winter menu. As is to be expected at Hartenberg, we started our dining experience with their home-made snoek pate. If you’ve read my previous review on Hartenberg picnics, then you’ll know that this is probably the most divine pate ever! It comes served with their homemade bread (or is this vice versa?), and those two together are absolute culinary gems. Of course you can’t go wrong pairing this with a Hartenberg wine. My favourite? The Eleanor. This girl doesn’t come cheap, but it’s an absolutely gorgeous Chardonnay that I can highly recommend.
