Arrived at 15:00 and was told to order immediately or no food as kitcen closes at 16:00. All good so we respectingly ordered 3 tapas plates and 2 kids cheeseburgers. Tapas consisted of bacon & pineapple kebab toothpick sized, pork belly (cube of fat), a beef mini kebab and finally 2 of the most tasteless chicken wings you could deliver for R125 a plate. No salt, spice or flavour in sight. Kids burgers tasted horrible and was close to raw mince yet burnt on the outside? Wortst food I had in SA in 3 weeks. Even the Wimpy At CT airport was better! Sevice was great though.
Went to this beautiful place for breakfast/lunch. We had a really lovely waitress who was attentive and fast. The food also was very good – a great meal all around!
The portions were something left to be desired, especially for the fee thereof. My waiter was friendly enough and the atmosphere was average. It wasn’t a bad experience, but not good enough for me to return unfortunately. However, would recomend it to people who I know would like the restaurant, with all its quirks.
Feel and look: Chic, modern, but comfortable. Outside area is quite nice, but doesn’t have a great view.Service: Very good. Attentive. Friendly staff :)Food: The pork belly was good, but I’ve had better. The lamb shank according to two of my guests was amazing (a solid 4/5). The mini burger trio was good, but not great (I’d rate it a 3/5). Wine tasting: I find sparkling wine way too sweet so I did not enjoy the nougat tasting (although this is the tasting they recommend). Personally, I would recommend the MCC tasting. An added treat are the wine lollies you receive after wine tasting 🙂
Post the brilliant nougat and bubbly tasting, my friends and I got a table here for lunch. I ordered the vegetarian braai platter – meh. One ordered the veggie wrap – which she very much liked. The other ordered the 3 sliders with hand cut chips and also liked her dish. And another ordered some meat platter – the kebab was so dry, she was struggling to get it down and the pork belly was just meh. We then decided to share the worlds tiniest cheesecake. Red velvet that was not. Red dyed play dough perhaps. Not good at all! Avoid! The best part of the meal was the complimentary bread and butter.
