First wine estate I have done tasting at in Stellenbosch. Tasted 6 wines for R50, can’t go wrong there. Had the whites which I enjoyed, but the Gewurztraminer is a MUST try! Perfect blend without it being too sweet or bitter.
Great MCC and Wine tasting. You can sit outside in the courtyard. They also give you some complementary crackers. The MCC is really good as well as the wines. Love to come here.
Named after the views is the Simonsberg mountains in Stellenbosch; wine tasting at Simonsig is such a relaxing and enjoyable event. The estate is just beautiful with its luscious lawns and manicured gardens and the tasting room is so well laid out, it feels like an honour to be there.Being a red wine lover, I’m impressed with their selection. Merlot, Pinotage, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tiara (a Bordeaux style blend), Merindol Syrah. The deep flavours of the Pinotage won my heart.There is also a range of excellent whites, rose and a bubbly range. Hubby loves their Gerwurtztraminer; a sunny Late Harvest which sipped ice cold on a hot and sunny day is just perfect.
