First impression was great. Had to come back a second time. Both were for birthday celebrations. Amazing views, amazing wine, lovely service. Overall, a very good place for an outing with friends. The golf part is also super fun. Service was good, wine was served at a nice steady pace. Indoor setting is also very cool, lots of little things to discover. Our group did the players tasting which is R50 and if you buy a bottle (which ranges from R80 upwards) it cancels your wine tasting and you only pay for the bottle, which is a win win in a way, you get more wine. The drive up to Ernie Els is a very scenic route. I would definitely recommend this wine farm to first timers for wine tasting or even for a nice day out with family and friends or a date. Worth the trip and money well spent.
Amazing view, amazing ambience. Staff is super attentive, I don’t even know what to say.. anything that they could have done, they have and gone over and above..
I am a big fan of architecture and I love that this place is one of the more modern places to enjoy a wine tasting.Their wine is wonderful and they have a great selection to suit most palettes It’s well worth trying out one if their delicious platters whilst you are there too, if you like a nibble of a few different things like me (OK sometimes more than just a nibble) this is well worth a visit
The Ernie Els vineyard has become one of my favourite spots in the Stellenbosch winelands. The location is gorgeous and the property is classy, and wonderfully tranquil. I’ve done two wine tastings and have also sampled some of their a la carte items. As a tapas lover, I particularly enjoyed their mixed platters, which were perfectly paired with the variety of wines and ideal for lazy sunny afternoons. Another unique feature of the restaurant is that Ernie Els’ trophies are on display and some other paraphernalia can be bought. Definitely an ideal spot for wine and golf fans.
I heard about the wines but have never visited the estate so took the opportunity with some overseas friends. The venue is beautiful inside with a stunning trophy room and soft comfortable couches. The outside patio is enormous and accommodates a very large number of tables with just the most stunning views over the mountains towards Stellenbosch. We had a very fried my staff member serving us for the wine tasting and he was most keen to see to all our questions and desires to take more and more photos. The wine tasting was very good and all enjoyed the range presented and decided to immediately order some wines. It is a stunning venue for lunch and late afternoon wines.
