What a lovely venue, the picnic baskets were sufficient and the staff were very welcoming .Only downfall was that there was no stock on beers and juice so one couldn’t top up to continue sitting under the trees.
The queue to order took too long and they made it clear that no more than 5 burgers patties can be grilled at a time. Unacceptable when it is the main menu option. Very overpriced. The only thing keeping it going is Bertus’ reputation and the view. Very disappointed.
The deck at hidden Valley was pretty awesome, it has amazing scenery with very friendly staff. We opted for the beef burger and fries which I really enjoyed. Our food arrived fast and efficient, the restaurant wasn’t that busy which was great. I will definitely return
We arrived expecting to enjoy a bottle of wine and some good company, but little did we know this is an experience of beauty. Sitting on the deck is about enjoying the view, and a glass of wine or 3. The food is very tasty, freshly prepared and a short wait with an easy menu of 3 options. There is an option to sit on the lawn and picnic blankets are provided. Expect nature, mountains, scenery and the sounds of the valley. This is more about the experience than the food.
Much more windy than I expected, but a nice experience none the less. The food was delicious, and being restricted to only 3 choices (Burger, Calamari or Chicken wings) made ordering simple. Good choice of wines as well.
