Amazing restaurant. The food was amazing, cooked to perfection and you could tell it was fresh and made with love. I had the fish and calamari (since I don’t eat red meat) and my friend had the ribs and wings and both came with your own choice of starch. The service was truly great. Our waitress was attentive and she really knew the menu well. My reason for giving them a 4.5 and not a 5, is because their drinks are pricey. The cocktails are really expensive and aren’t that special. So I would recommend they make their cocktails affordable or they make them more interesting. Overall it was a great experience and I will be back.

We ordered pizzas as well which was done in 15min then it was standing under the heater for more than 30min. The rest of our tables food only came more than 2hours later. Do not order the chicken schnitzel it was dry & tasteless. Do not think I would recommend big groups to visit this establishment.
So I took my wife there today for our 29th Wedding Anniversary. Maybe that is my mistake there is 100s of restaurants around us. Nevertheless I chose this one. Friendly staff yes after 10 minutes waiting in the door even after we made a booking.Did not have the bubbly we ordered of the menu. Had to wait for ever to eventually get our bottle of Pongracz. Finally we ordered our food and the fillet was underdone, the ribs and chicken cold.So will I go back there again??? Don’t think so.
Gorgeous views, with a panoramic of Stellenbosch mountains. Good food with a short wait time and respectable portions. The burger was served in a barrel plate which was fun albeit confusing. The pizza base was cooked well, crispy but not burnt. Please add a spicy chicken pizza to your menu! Special mention to Alphonso, the manager, for great customer service.
Delicious food ans surprisingly affordable! This hidden gem is situated on a hill looking down on beautiful city lights, immediately creating a great setting and ambience. The service was great. We booked a table for 7, for a birthday, 10 minutes prior to arriving and they truly made us feel special. The food didn’t take long at all. We will definitely visit Die Wingerd again in the nearby future.
