Easter lunch picnic on the werf on a beautiful day in Cape Town. Seriously good homey food that the kiddo could also enjoy. Throw in some excellent house wine and chocolate chip ice cream also made on the estate and you’re good to go. Looking forward to another visit to do the buffet lunch!
It’s hard to have a bad time in a place as gorgeous and almost other worldly as this vineyard.I love the care and attention they pay to every aspect of the experience here – from the parking space to the thought filled respect paid to the ingredients grown onsite.Their food is delish and is beautifully presented.Stop by if you’re in the vicinity, and if you’re not, make a point of stopping by.
Celebrated my friend’s baby shower at this beautiful estate. There are two picnic spots, one at the werf and the one we went to at the rose garden. Tables beautifully set under massive oak trees. Picnic baskets brought out in crates. It was just all sublime. The baskets were filled with deli meats, ciabatta bread, chicken coronation salad, coleslaw salad (without the mayo), Camembert cheese, chicken liver pate, crackers, hummus, green goddess salad dressing, caramelized onions, mustard mayo, marshmallows and the best chocolate tart. All items were quality, fresh and super tasty. Would highly recommend this estate.
