Following our wine tour and tasting we had lunch at the Fyndraai restaurant. We had starters of bobotie samosas, creamy baleria dip & paaper bites that we coupled with west coast fish cakes, pineapple salsa and rocket salad. For the main course we had the glazed pork belly, mashed potato, pickled spekboom potato crisp as well as braised kingklip, pickled waterbloometjies, brandade and vine tomatoes paired with white wine. For dessert we had traditional melkterk and pineapple fridge tart with kei-apple ice cream. The desserts were plated so beautifully and looked so good that I totally forgot to get a picture before the meal was all gone. This was definitely my favourite restaurant to dine at in Cape Town. We enjoyed all the meals that are cooked in the traditional Malay style with Dutch/German influence with a modern twist.

The pork Belly was well prepared, but not everything that was described on the menu was on the plate. No extras as we are used to. It was as if the restaurant got into a second gear and this was about the money. One have to pay for extras previously part of the experience. R165 is a bit steep for what we were used to at Solm Delta. A bit unsatisfied this timeAfter a second visit, qe still feel the same as the above. The food is lovely, we do not understand the pricing!

I always have thee greatest experience when I visit the Winelands. This being my third wine farm visit, I was once again blown away.As a starter I had Roosterkoek with herbed butter. The bread is homemade, fresh and piping hot from the oven. For my main, I ordered the Catch of the Day that came with a parsnip puree and lemon butter sauce. Very delicious. My friend had the free range chicken which I had a taste of and it was very succulent. Dessert was a soufflé pannekoek. The num num ice cream tasted liked sorbet. So delicious. I had a nibble of the chocolate banana malva pudding, very yummy. I really was not disappointed. Their servings are quite sufficient for a 3 course meal. The wine tatstings in between were very informative. Staff is friendly.

I walked away from here feeling pretty satisfied. The food was very tasty, the pork belly was tasty with these earthy vegetables. The beef fillet was cooked exactly how we wanted it. But my favorite was the bobotie spring rolls. Amazing. People have had mixed reviews but thumbs up for me.
