Little did we know that when we arrived at this wine farm with its old Cape Dutch style, we were in for a treat!We received the most impeccable service from our host. She knows her wine and her personal touch just made us feel like VIPs. She talked us through the different kinds of wines and cultivars. The wines are really good and smooth – the Grand Plaisir is absolutely amazing and my ultimate favourite!This hidden gem is a real treasure and well worth the visit!
This is a beautiful setting and we stopped for a tasting. The lady was very friendly and knowledgeable on the wine. The wine was good and we enjoyed it. Disappointed that the had no cheese for the cheese platter on the menu and there is no other food.
Plaisir De Merle ticks all the boxes on what makes a wine tasting perfect. The wine there are fantastic. Full bodied, delightful on the nose and smooth as silk. What gives this review a 5 is the service. We had a wonderful host that explained every wine and even did comparison of freshly opened bottle and when you let it sit and let it breathe. I am so going back again.
