Outstanding sophisticated exceptional
Beautiful place. The service you get from the staff is amazing, but unfortunately the food is WAY over priced for what you get. Personally I did not find anything spectacular about anything in the menu or the wines. The duck (I ordered) was good but nothing to rave about. Unfortunate.
Delaire has always been expensive but the location and experience was worth it. It has now become unbelievably expensive and catering for the overseas market.R 380 for a main course , a side of Parmesan chips , R110 ??? So R500 for a main , give or take???Food is good but not competing with the top restaurants who charge those prices. I really felt I had been ripped . However the place is full ( foreigners) and the location and service is top notch.Just become too expensive for what is on offer, but maybe I’m not their market as a recession crushed South African.
The most incredible view awaits after you enter this fantastic restaurant. Top notch service, decor, wine and food. The art is also amazing. A must visit, just ensure that you make a reservation and bring your piggy bank
