Amazing breakfast at the restaurant. Delicious and affordable food and friendly service. Tue atmosphere was warm and cozy thanks to the fire place. Thanks Delheim!
Was very excited to visit the Delheim Garden restaurant but it wasn’t as expected. They can really up their game, the food quality is lower than average – watery soggy salad leaves and the cheesecake slice was so small, think they did not prepare for the day. Glasses were dirty
Just breathtakingly beautiful it was overwhelming. We went for breakfast. I had salmon eggs Benedict- perfectly made. The coffee one of the best I’ve ever had. Bf had the chefs breakfast. There home made pork sausage to die for. Presentation A+. I like the little things: the butter was wrapped like a sweety, the pepper grinder was a plastic bottle that looks like one of their wine. Service quick and efficient I’m keen to go for dinner in winter next to the fire placeWe did the wine tasting after. Lovely wines. Tasting fee foregone on purchase of a bottle.
Yummy home cooked type of food. Everything tasted homey and delicious. Menu could use a bit of a revamp as it’s been the same for years, most of the dishes are more enjoyable in winter (bobotie, chicken curry, pork belly etc).Beautiful for lunch on a nice day under the umbrellas, it is a pretty setting.Their wines are nothing spectacular.
OOOOOOHHHHHHH This one is worth writing about. On our Cape Town trip we went online to see which wine tastings were open until late and Delheim happen to be one of the last to close. Taking us nearly an hour to get there, searching and almost giving up; I am happy to say it was worth every bit of the journey. When we arrived I was already mesmerised by the view. Late sun on the mountains. Chilly breeze. We sat down and it immediately felt like home. Warm. Welcoming. We had the wine tasting and it was honestly THE BEST collection of wines we ever tasted. We ended up buying 8 wines to bring home and we have salvaged them and had it on special occasions. One of the best experiences ever!
