Went there after delheim as you have to pass it on the way back. Very disappointing. The place itself is lovely inside, old rustic. There’s grape stomping as well. The wine tasting was appalling. It was the smallest samples possible given. Ive gone to about 60 wine tastings and this was the smallest amount given. Only 3 sips. None of the wines were explained. We had to get up to ask for the next tasting, there were 5.Tasting fee of R40 not waviered on purchase of bottle which annoyed me because of the tastings size.Just a let down after delheim

One of the oldest farms in the Stellenbosch area. The tasting room is small and rustic with gob webs everywhere, but this adds to the look and feel. Â Great wine and each one has a story to tell. We did the tasting and had a bite to eat at the same time. Food was well prepared and we had a couple of Cheese and Charcuterie platters. Staff very knowledgeable and makes you feel welcome. Will be back!
The first time we went to Muratie was for their Harvest Festival and what fun! We enjoyed every moment we spent there and every bite to eat. From stomping grapes to indulging in fresh bread, wine and cheese, the overall experience was one I want to relive every single year! The long tables enable you to meet other people at your table – great way to mingle and make new friends – and the atmosphere was so wonderful. What a lovely way to spend a weekend, out in the sun under their stunning oak trees surrounded by wonderful people and nibbling on all things divine.
After looking so forward to my only wine tasting for the day. I was driver so choose the port and chocolate pairing. The tender may as well have thrown the wines at me. He told me very little. Had to ask what he was serving, really disinterested and zero showmanship.Been here a few years ago and was so intrigued by the stories behind each wine. He had no story’s and no interest..hence I bought nothing
