Aandklas is one of the best and most consistent student hangouts in Stellenbosch. It’s one of those places that has everything; great cocktails, great specials, delicious pizza at student prices, outside seating, indoor dancing, pool tables, and of course, live music. You can go to Aandklas for cocktails in the afternoon, beer early in the day, quiz nights in the evenings, or insane live shows on ‘special occasions’. It really is an awesome place. And they’ve been consistently awesome for years. When visiting, do order their potato skins (they’re the best I’ve ever had) and their Pangalactic Gargle Blaster, Call me a Cab and R.O.B cocktails. They are simply the best.Cheers Aandklas, here’s to more years of epic times.
Nice big venue that accommodates live music and has a dance floor. The vibe depends largely on how full the place is. The food isn’t too bad either, they make decent pizza and the snack baskets are pretty good at the price. A solid student joint in the heart of Stellies.
Except for the fact this this is one of my favourite hangouts, we drove all the way from Durbanville just so that I could have my Love try their pizza, which in the 4 years that I’ve been living is Cape Town is still the best pizza I have EVER had, and it was amazing, as usual! He agreed with me and he isn’t scared to tell me if he has had better! Their Hoggidy Hog is just perfect! And the Potato skins with Cheese sauce! Had the Slow Boat cocktail and it is just devine! Refreshing as usual!The only thing, honestly only thing, about aandklas that gets to me is, is seems slightly uncared for. I was there 2 years ago, yet still a sink is broken. It feels slightly unloved. They could really do with a revamp but keep the vibe and old school theme. It make it Aandklas!I’ll always come back here if this places keeps up its food standard and it’s amazing old school music!
