Always a lovely time here, and for pub food is doesn’t let you down. Will continue to be coming back. However, don’t order the vegetarian platter – it’s very fatty and over priced.
As a Stellenbosch student I frequently visit The Happy Oak. There’s an awesome vibe in the summer and winter, they have a fun quiz night on Tuesdays, loads of TV’s and big screens for sports enthusiasts and a great craft beer bar upstairs. As a Maties student you can also join the Maties Beer Appreciation Society and get 2 craft draughts each day at only R15! Okay, maybe that makes me a bit bias. You will never regret going there!
