We were sat in the back, outside in the open air. On a warm Stellenbosch afternoon, this was enjoyable. The waiter was super friendly. I had a beef burger. It was well made. I’d come back again
The food was great and the service from Lucky was awesome regardless of being understaffed and only 2 waiters to serve the whole restaurant. The management however need to not shout at staff in front of customers due to back log of orders. It is the management’s responsibility to inform customers if they are understaffed and assist and support the staff.
Second time at Trumpet Tree and really impressed with the food – so delish and pretty hefty portions! (The curry in the photo is only half of the potion as it was shared) Service was good. The inside section was quite chilly though.
Nice atmosphere with very friendly staff. However the food is a bit of a let down and since they stopped serving sushi I haven’t been back. Love their vintage markets though!
