The food has been consistently good, but the service quality has lessened over the last fee years. Staff is not as attentive or fast.
Great food, but the “manager” is out of touch with reality of client service, just read the other reviews, truly Wijnhuis has the location and food to be amazing but the rotten attitude towards clients ultimately destroys it. The advertised fish and chips special only 8 portions budgeted, sold out by 12:30.
We find It very frustrating that something that is the house special and in bold letters on the menu the on the bone steak special was not available. When the meal came it was rump steak and lamb cutlets it was over cooked and over salted. Oh!!! There was also no spinach and the broccoli they forgot to add he chillie as advertised. The meal smacked of the poor staff having had a very long busy day. So sorry to say just not up to the Stellenbosch standard
A great spot in Stellies, delicious food and a good atmosphere. My only negative is the lack of/extremely slow service, and somewhat unfriendly wait staff.
