Our table ordered the pork belly, fillet and salmon. We all enjoyed our meals and portion size were good. Wines are from the local wineries in the area, but on the expensive side. Service was friendly and efficient. Nice atmosphere.
In a rustic courtyard setting, Cafe Felix offers a blackboard menu of seven starters and seven mains that overpromises and underdelivers, unless you go for the pork belly, clearly the signature dish here. Our “tartlet” of caramelised onion, tomato and goat’s cheese featured an oversized square of puff pastry with hints of all the right flavours, but raw cherry tomatoes. A main of “crispy calamari with caper mayo” was so small, we had to ask for a side of chips. The blackboard promised “baby leaves”. Our plate featured a heap of day-old red cabbage and three more very mature cherry tomato halves, like recycled garnish from another plate. “Italian vegetable risotto”: a rice pilaf with even more cherry tomatoes (whole), broccoli and chunks of baby marrow: entirely unexciting, but it was the only vegetarian offer from the blackboard. Nice setting, nice staff, but prices too high for this average experience. Very limited selection of wine by the glass. Clearly the ambience makes Cafe Felix so popular. The food is incidental.
Cafe Felix is a very nice place too sit at and relax nice service and nice pool . But I did order Calamari with baby leaves, but did not see any baby leaves. Calamari and sauce was good. I do recommend the tropical juice . Nice tables and inside area. But did not see the parrot . That is all I have to say about this place.I am Mimicorn thanks for reading my review on Cafe Felix . And I am nine years old .
