This was probably the best breakfast I have ever had. Everything was cooked to perfection with so much flavor and beautifully presented. I had the Gabrielskloof breakfast which is a roosterkoek with babootie mince and poached eggs with hollandaise sauce. It was incredible. I also tried their banana French toast with extra bacon which was equally as amazing. Even the bread that the breakfast came with was incredible and I appreciated the generous butter portion. We came back the following day and had their cheese and meats platter with a wine tasting which was amazing as well. All the staff are very friendly and professional. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because the estate is a bit too manicured for my taste and lacks personality in my opinion. The bill also ruined an otherwise perfect experience when we found out that a single shot cuppacino cost R22 and a double shot cost R37!!! An extra R15 for a shot of coffee. It has got to be the most expensive coffee in South Africa. My extra portion of two slices of bacon cost the same as an extra shot if coffee. I thought that was quite ridiculous

Simplicity is a winner. And this place is proof. Their food is excellent yet humble. The service is fantastic. It’s a beautiful setting, ideal for a special occasion or just a casual Sunday brunch. I love everything about it and highly recommend paying this restaurant and their quaint deli a visit.
We had a lovely lunch at Gabrielskloof. Unfortunately our one burger order was placed incorrectly and had to be sent back. The manager immediately came to apologise and shortly after we received the correct order. We received our bill made payment and left, a day later they tracked us down via social media and contacted us to inform us that they had charged us for both hamburgers and would like to refund us for the incorrect burger. This is indeed superb service!
My absolute favorite place in Hermanus. The best food, whether it be a breakfast or lunch and such lovely service. I usually go for Eggs Benedict but opted for banana bread French toast today, and it was amazing! Love this little gem. Coming back for Easter Sunday and so excited! Delish coffee too!
