Driving back from a weekend away along the N2 and got a bit hungry so I googled stops along the way. What a lovely surprise. We desperately needed coffee and they had our fav Häzz coffee beans. I had a croissant with a selection of jams and cheese. My partner had the famous pies, steak and mushroom, worth the hype and reasonably priced. The waitstaff work as a team, which is lovely as you could ask anyone for anything. The shop is great so check that out too.
Enroute to Hermanus for a day trip from the city, my friend and I made a quick coffee stop at this Farm stall. Not wanting something substantial to eat, we both ordered a cup of coffee and a scone each. Scones were warm and buttery and the size of Mugg n Bean muffins i.e. ginormous! Definitely more substantial than what we bargained for. Their coffee was also a really good brew – they use hazz coffee. I am told that their pies are also beyond amazing. I simply have to come back to try one. Ps. This place is technically in Elgin (not Hermanus).
A very popular stop over along the N2 in the beautiful Elgin valley. The Farm Stall is a must visit and offers a delightful range of local delicacies. Their homemade pies and specifically bobotie are bucket list items. The restaurant offers seating both indoor and on the veranda. On a sunny winter’s morning there’s little better than sitting outside with a view of the impressive surrounding landscape. The coffees are great and service personal. Meals of a good quality.
