I Always come back here l . 5 ambience 5 staff 5 taste of the coffee. Awesome setting in Vredehoek. There’s always a place to sit, even when the wind blows. Dogs are welcome.
Red Sofa’s location is perfect in the middle of the neighborhood and their openness to having furry friends join you for breakfast is great. Their service is good and their coffee is fantastic. The food was lovely especially the french toast. I like that the menu has limited options, but still covering everything. Pet peeve of mine: restaurants who microwave their poached eggs. Gosh I hate it. Please do a proper poached egg, it will make the world of difference.
Nice spot to chill outside and enjoy life passing by. The coffee is good and the food is good too. The only complaint I have is that my poached egg wasn’t correctly poached – I find that when people use those mound to poach the eggs asking for them mediumalways ends up with some of the white not being cooked. If the eggs were poached in the traditional manner my Benedict would have been decent.
