Another stopover at this lovely bar: one of our regulars in Vejer. We had their very garlicky salmorejo. Very cooling and delicious on this sweltering evening.
We stopped for tostada and coffee one Saturday morning. So easy, efficient and polite despite the fact that they were fairly busy and our Spanish is not the best!! And good tostada, tomato and aceite as well.
Very pleasant spot to have a coffee outside, adjacent to the church in the old town. Proprietor Juan and his family are friendly and provide good service. Good local flavor.
Find the cathedral – which takes an hour in the tiny lanes of Vejer – and you will need a refreshment. Las Begines is right there and is simply a typical Spanish bar. No frills and very pleasant.
