La Salgar is the urban restaurant of the Manzano Family managed by Chef Esther Manzano (1 Michelin Star and 1 Sol Repsol). The restaurant is located in the vibrant city of Gijon and it has views to the picturesque Museum of the Region of Asturias. The cuisine of Esther and Nacho Manzano is all about roots, respect and tradition, the importance of the products and recipes and it is also about the developing, evolving, being creative and bringing this products or recipes a lot further. The way of cooking is traditional, fresh and contemporary, thinking in the local product, trustworthy producers and the classical and sometimes forgotten recipes of the region. But they go further and in this kitchen they dream and experiment evolving these recipes and produces in something different, with different methods, techniques and combinations of flavours.
