Amid all the pintxos and behind one of its own is this highly traditional no-nonsense white table cloth restaurant serving standard local dishes. The food is good and the service is slick.
Typical restaurant (the mandatory neon lights) with typical Basque dishes like pescado en salsa verde. Nothing fancy but compared to the neighbouring Gandarias the staff is very welcoming here and they made the difference. I liked the simplicity here.
The food was not outstanding but ok. We had some very good veal steak and decent grilled octopus. The decor is the turn off, it looks as it probably looked 100 years ago and looks in hundreds of small Spanish restaurants.
