Restaurante Montesquiu

About

Montesquiu tapas bar in Calle Mandri in Barcelona became, since it was opened in 1952, a meeting point for students and young middle class people, where they shared beer and tapas like: bravas, calamares a la romana, callos, etc. In 1990 it was acquired by Javier de las Muelas who wanted to maintain the charm and philosophy of this bar. The terrace and the bar was increased and refurbished, but the excellent tapas remained the identify of Javier de las Muelas, including the famous bravas, as well as new tapas like: omelette shrimp, marinated dogfish, assortment of hamburgers, roast suckling pig, oxtail and tataki. The menu was also extended with Javier de las Muelas famous cocktails. The result, a refined bar where you can have tapas, plenty of snacks and cocktails in a relax enviorenment being serviced by efficient and friendly team.
