The place has a nice, warm, casual/friendly vibe to it. But having said that, Azul Frida’s best thing for me was its superbly original REAL Mexican dishes. A rare find among a crowd of wannabes 🙂
Hard for a vegan to get a great tasting ¨cheese¨-covered dish and Azul Frida completely delivered. If you are a foodie, definitely your place. Oh, I also loved the Frida altar decoration.
Nice atmosphere, delicious cocktails and very tasty food. A very pleasant experience altogether. Try anything they make with mezcal. The smoky flavour is working very well in those drinks.
We had guacamole, queso fundido, tacos and sopas. Everything was delicious and very clearly house-made. The blue corn tortillas are a highlight. Small, cozy atmosphere with very nice service. Off the beaten path and worth the find.
The margarita is very good and pretty strong. I had the quesadillas, which were very good and very authentic – I’m from Mexico, so I know 😉 Prices are reasonable, and bartender and waiter were very friendly, too.
