Ultramarinos is the culmination of many years in the restaurant business for Jos Lombardero and Kate Preston. During that time they have trawled Spain in search of the best producers, farmers and wine-makers, eating in the most authentic tapas bars and yes, quaffing the odd cocktail, while learning everything they can about the country's rich culinary heritage in order to bring it to you. After establishing some of the city's best-loved restaurants: Taller de Tapas, Casa Delfin and Ajoblanco, Ultramarinos is their latest muse: the sexiest space on Barcelona's most famous street which brings together all the elements of the Spanish lifestyle that they know and love.
