Bodega La Palma is undoubtedly one of the most charismatic locals of the Gothic quarter in Barcelona. Marble tables, wine barrels, wooden benches and original furniture preserve the spirit of this emblematic local with more than 80 years of history. Opened in 1935 as a grocery store, it was transferred five years later, at which time it was reborn as a winery. It also served as an impromptu meeting point for artists, painters and poets of the recent history of Barcelona. In 1987, the business became " La Bodega de la Seora Maria" and adapted to the new times, including for the first time a coffee machine and a variety of homemade omelettes, without neglecting its tradition: the barrel wine. His daughter Carme continued the business adapting to the new times.
