About
In the central neighbourhood of Chamberí, Mesón del Cid uses first class ingredients bringing traditional dishes up to date with clever innovations, in a menu that also includes classic winter dishes and a different stew every day. Special mention goes to the roast suckling lamb from Burgos, where the quality of the meat and the experience of the chef make this dish a house speciality. Other more creative dishes include baby broad beans with “carabinero” prawns, black pudding “bonbons”, “sous-vide” cod in lamb juices, chicken thigh stuffed with porcini and foie gras or pigs trotters stuffed with truffle. Meson del Cid has an excellent wine list with more than 300 wines that are kept in its temperature controlled cellar facilities to guarantee that they are served in perfect condition at the ideal temperature.
