We found this nice, cozy, local cafe on the way to the prado museum. We had very good pastries and coffee. Not expansive too – 8.5 euro for three coffees and two excellent pastries.

This is for the the restaurant part (cafe has the same name and is next door) nice food and service. it had big starters. I had the steak for mains which was superb. nice red wine as well.
Stopped in for coffee and cake after a long day of museum and garden sightseeing. Beautiful selection of pastries and sweets. Fast service, clean dining areas. Would recommend.
