About
This sanctuary of Madrid flamenco first opened as a tablao in the spring of 1911; at that time the greats of the flamenco scene met at Villa Rosa.Famous local and foreign characters came to Villa Rosa and enjoyed beautiful and endless nights. Champagne, fino sherry, palmas, heels, flamenco dresses, bullfighting debates, guitar riffs and husky singerss voices produced wonderful nights and dawns for our frequent local visitors such as people like Lola Flores, Imperio Argentina, Miguel de Molina, Juanito Valderrama y Domingun, or foreigners treated as if they were locals, like Ava Gardner or Hemingway. All of them loved what Villa Rosa was and meant.Even the Monarchy was aware of Villa Rosas nights prestige, and the place was regularly visited by King Alfonso XIII, accompanied by greatest business men and artists, like Pablo Febrero (Lizard) or Jess Rodrguez Cerezal (The Immortal).Artists list: Jonatan Mir, Marco Flores, Manuel Lin, Adrin Santana, Pablo Fraile, Inmaculada Aranda, David Coria, Vctor El Tomate, Juaares, Gabriel de La Tomasa, Ismael de la Rosa, La Popi, Guadalupe Torres, Sonia Olla, Soraya Clavijo, Juan Amaya El Peln, Chelo Pantoja, Fernando de la Ra, Sandra La Negra, etc...All this is happening in the very heart of Central Madrid, at number 15 inour madrilea Santa Ana square.Greetings from the centennial, mythic, genuine, magnificent and inimitable VILLA ROSA. From 1 st March 2013 Villa Rosa has a new Chef, directly from Valencia, do not to be missed the Paella!!
