Founded in 1856, Viva Madrid is a very well known centenary tavern with more than 150 years of history. It still has the facade with colorful ceramic and the famous "Plaza Cibeles" is the inspiration of this magnificent piece of art hand painted by the Casa Mensaque in late 1920's. It is located very close to the Plaza Santa Ana, in the side of the Spanish Theatre in the heart of Barrio de las Letras, downtown. Home and inspiration of the most famous and renowned writers of the Spanish literature, like Miguel de Cervantes, Lope de Vega, Francisco de Quevedo among others.
