What can I say – just eat loads of tapas, drink canas and enjoy yourself. This place is buzzing, cheap and delicious. Probably the best tapas we’ve tried (except for patatas bravas, sorry!).
Bar Cruz specialises in seafood related tapas. We went for the bocadillos de calamar (calamari sandwiches), which are good, but I was delighted by the razor clams, which are apparently the house specialty and were excellent! Well worth the visit.

Friendly, welcoming staff who as their board said wouldn’t laugh if you tried to speak Spanish. Indeed they did encourage and helped us. Great selection of tapas to try – we visited several times during our recent stay in Madrid.
We enjoyed razor clams, scallops and fried chorizo at this tapas bar near where we were staying. Not fancy but the food was delicious. Felt very authentic.
