About

Bocaito was founded 45 years ago and we have a wide experience in our sector. It is a family business opened in 1966 in Madrid. In 2006, Francisco Bravo y Concha Ortega started running the restaurant. Our aim is to keep the perfect balance between tradition and modernity of the Castillian and Andalusian cuisines. A perfect place to taste Spanish dishes and tapas. Bocato is located in the heart of Madrid, a top dining destination for those that want to taste Spanish cuisine. A few minutes away from the Cibeles Fountain, our restaurant is situated in Calle Libertad, number 6, next to Gran Va and Calle Alcala. In our bars and in our dinning rooms too, you can taste all kind of tapas, among which we highlight our special toasts, Iberian ham and loin, salt-dried meat from Astorga (Leon), croquettes, stuffed mussels. If you like spicy food you can not leave without trying our Luisito. In Bocaito, you will have the chance to taste Castillian cuisine dishes (such as lamb and beef), Andalusian delights (small fried fish from Malaga) and a selection of the most typical fishes from the north of Spain (hake). If, by the way, you like stews, you can ask our staff fot the daily's hot dish, very representative of the Spanish gastronomy. We do have a gourmet menu, the perfecto choice if you wasn't to share with friends and try a selection of tapas and our most popular dishes.

We went to this restaurant based on recommendations but were a little disappointed. The starter was good but the fried anchovies we had for main course were chewy.
