About
Casa Mingo is the oldest cider house in Madrid, and possibly the oldest in Spain, since it opened in 1888, when it had not yet reached 60 years of the death of the great painter Francisco de Goya, who lighted up with his frescos the close hermitages of San Antonio de la Florida, designed by Ventura Rodriguez, also author of the Prado Museum, which you cannot miss, standing in a place that was considered as Real Site on the banks of the Manzanares river, as an extension of Campo del Moro's gardens and the rest of the Royal Palace gardens. To eat well in Madrid choose Casa Mingo. Try one of our famous roasted chicken. All accompanied by a bottle of cider to round out the menu and go home with very good taste. Do not forget, no place like Casa Mingo to eat well in Madrid.Details

The chicken is excellent. One order split between two people is plenty but ask for extra sauce and bread for dipping. We had a bottle of Cune – red wine and sit outside for an awesome culinary delight.
Casa Mingo started in 1888. It still has the old sidra barrels decorating the place. Roasted chicken and sidra are the top most food and drink to order. Food servers are attentive and friendly.
Amazing food, very cheap, good service. We tried chicken, chorizo cook in cider, potato salad(with tuna) and rice pudding and Santiago cake. Everything very tasty, recommended for everyone. Near the river, so you can have stroll after or before to the centre.
I missed this place so much since my last visit in 2000. It didn’t disappoint though. The rotisserie chicken and cider was awesome and still a great price.
