The calamari sandwich was really good here and was cheap (<3 euros). My cousin from Madrid highly recommended this place and the calamari sandwich. It was between the plaza mayor and the don miguel marketplace. Highly recommend
Fresh rolls and the calamari is fried fresh to order – delicious, simple and authentic calamari roll. Just outside Plaza Mayor, quick, easy and cheap lunch. Sit at the bar or there are more tables upstairs. Note that it is CASH ONLY.

The bun itself is delicious, let alone adding the perfectly fried calamari, not oily or greasy. Fast service, we went on the second floor to eat. There is a bathroom to use too before heading back out.
Old taoas bar just out of the square at plaza major. Most of its business is their famous calamari bocadillo, which at just under €3 , gives great value.
