One of the great historic cafes of Santiago, situated at the entrance to the Zona Monumentale, the area of most interest to tourists. Many university teachers and students go there. Good coffee, good cakes, & good beerDetails

Entered around 3 pm. Hardly anybody inside, nobody was eating. The waiter looked extremely bored. Had a glass of wine. Mediocre quality. No positive vibes, decided to eat somewhere else.
We opted to eat here once for breakfast. Was goods service and the food was ok. The place is steeped in history and was worth the visit. Their churros are mediocre.
Great atmosphere and nice staff.Went several times as two couples. This bar has been open since 1929 and definitely worth a visit. Renowned also for its Chocolate de Churros too.
A great place for morning coffee (or afternoon coffee come to that) – the coffee is good and the Torta de Santiago (Galician Almond Pie) is particularly recommended.
