Mar de Caas, is not the first restoration business in this location, mid 20th century the Bar from Fernando y Eladia. After that this place was also a Bar, a Mesn, until 2014 when we bought it and started the improvements trying to keep the initial defining elements along its history. Operated by Leisure & Minerals S.L., Mar the Caas Restaurant is the first asset for the company, who strongly believes Portman to become the new upscale Tourist destination in the Region of Costa Calida. Cees Houweling, owner and former CEO at La Manga Club, (1991 1996), tells us that besides of the Beauty, Portman bay and the region has to offer, the key to success for Mar de Caas Restaurant lies with the people of Portman whose warmth, empathy and local sophistication will provide the perfect touch of magic.
