A place of serenity. A place which combines two of my favourite things in the world – souvenir shopping and good food. The outdoor seating is perfect, while people from all over the world gather to eat here. Service is attentive, meals are hot and delicious and even though we were on vacation from India, we did not feel like outsiders. This has to be my best experience in Colombo – some day I would love to be back here.
Been here a few times over the years but decided to give it a review suffice to say the food is always good here. The reason for my visit was to be buy a table mat place setting for a friend from the Philippines that I am meeting in Bangkok shortly after shopping I decided to stay and have lunch.  I selected from the Sandwich and Wraps section on the menu and had the Roast Pork sandwich your given options on which bread you would like it on so I chose ciabatta, You get nice succulent thick slices of roast pork loin marinated in soy sauce and a small side salad. I ordered an additional side of french fries which was actually a huge portion too much for one person really and I’m a big eater. To go with my meal I had a papaya juice which was okay but would have liked it thicker and more chilled.  Venue ambiance as usual an oasis in a storm, the serving staff professional polite and pleasant. Washrooms spotlessly clean and very modern. Overall and lovely place to spend a few hours having lunch and browsing and buying a new publication in the bookshop.
The perfect place for a tourist to combine the 3 essentials: shop, meet n greet and then eat!! A lovely place with its old world charm and a sprawling courtyard where u sit around with good food and company!! Definitely worth a visit!!
