Me being a tourist enjoyed it here.Good ambiance and service. The buffet served was a perfect place to try srilankan authentic cuisine.Ordered the devil chicken and they got the flavor right but dish was average.Kothu was good.
I’d rather not go to this place. The main objective is the lankan food buffet on offer. The variety is decent however, the taste is not. La Carte fare that we ordered left us very disappointed. Give it a go only if you’re very hungry and are more concerned about quantity than quality.
Best place for authentic srilankan cuisine. We were from India and we liked the dinner buffet very much. The ambience was inviting. The spread was enormous. Two chicken dishes, one fish, one crab gravy. 3 rice varieties. 3-4 Subzi, papad, pickles, chutneys, spring hoppers etc.3 live stations with parathas.Dessert station with 6 varieties.Drinks were add on to the buffet cost. Memorable evening
Stopped in for lunch on recommendation of our tour guide for local cuisine. We wanted a place with a bar for beer and wine options. Ordered off the menu. I got the crab curry and asked for the crab to be cracked and pulled by them and not me since I knew it was going to be messy. They did not do. Even after I asked when they set it down at the table. The sides presented were bland and boring. The curry was nice and spicy, but cracking and getting the meat from the crab was a messy as expected. Sadly. If you want wine, don’t go here. They had one bottle to sell by the glass for white wine and it was a jug from California. Food and liquor was over-priced for what we received. Waiter was good, but did not understand or speak very good English.
Strictly average food with very poor presentation and serving quality.. the ambiance is way out dated but rates charged by the restaurant it way off the roof.. 1990 lkr for the spread was annoying.. we booked for 41 pax over the phone and 5 didn’t turn up however the restaurant forced us to pay for all 41 saying they have cooked for that many? It was a joke as the restaurant only caters to buffet customers.. so we paid for 41 when only 36 came in.. next time you ever throw a party here please ensure you don’t book this place as the restaurant will charge ur even if you don’t eat.
