  Today, we went to Blackout @blackoutcolombo for dinner and these are our thoughts about the experience. Blackout is a new sports bar and restaurant I’ve been meaning to review as I’ve heard all kind of comments about the place and the food. We got there around 7:30 and it was not hard to find and it had enough parking spaces. The security guard greeted me and showed me to the entrance. I quickly ran to the upstairs to find the gang. They were seated in a separate area and they were enjoying a MMA fight and we joined in. Since my friends have already placed the order, I quickly checked the menu and placed an order for a “Lime and Melon Soda” and a “Chicken Burger”. While were were waiting my friend’s food had arrived. Some of them had order kottu, some had burgers and some had lasagna. I had bit of them while I was waiting for my food. One of my friend had ordered the “Strawberry Lime Soda” and it tasted really good. After 10ish minutes, I got my serving and I was quite surprised. As a food enthusiast, I always like to eat good looking food and this was a really good looking plate of food. The burger was in good shape, size was good and the presentation was brilliant. It came with 2 sides, a portion of “Potato wedges” and a serving of “Garden salad”. Nothing would be okay if the taste was not good. After having few bites, I realize that I actually tasted good. But for my taste, I would have made it but spicier or add some pickled jalapeños. But it was good. The drink was also really good and refreshing. I enjoyed it more than I thought. Since I had few bites from my friends food, I had few comments about them also. The chicken kottu was really good and it was actually a chicken kottu with chicken. But it’ll be better if they give but more sauce along with it. Because the served sauce portion was really small. Beef lasagna was also good. It has a good spicy taste to it. Apart from food, to tell something about the whole experience, I believe the service could have improved a lot.
