The best I’ve ever had! We first ordered a small corn soup with chicken. Delicious! It was more than enough for 5 people. The orange juice was just perfect. It felt so fresh. Then we ordered a chicken noodle , a seafood fried rice with black pepper pork and hot butter cuttlefish. My oh my, it was so heavenly, and the portions were really fulfilling, we could not finish it. The only drawback would be taking time to take the initial order. Other than that, the staff was very polite and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone without a doubt.

So we were in the mood for Chinese on a Friday afternoon and had a couple of places in mind. Peach valley was one of the restaurants suggested to us by our friends. The first impression of the restaurant itself wasn’t very great. Though the restaurant is situated in one of the posh neighborhoods of Colombo, the building was quiet old and run down. There were no staff to greet us when we entered the restaurant. We were seated in a large table which was filled with flies and hence had to shift to another. The service by the staff was appalling! They really dint care that we were seated there and ready to order. Now coming to the food.Fried Wontons – Good and crispy! Portion size was decent and was accompanied with a chilli sauce.Sesame Fried Chicken – the chicken was seasoned and fried well and dipped in a good sauce.Egg Friend Rice – Massive portion of rice cooked to perfectionChicken Kung Bao – Diced chicken prepared as a dry dish with a good soya sauce based sauce.Prawns in Chilli Sauce – This was one particular dish that i dint like much. Though it says chilli sauce, the dish tasted sweet and the prawns was all soggy in the sauce. wasnt crisp like i had expected.Cancun – The cancun was prepared well. I mean you really cant mess up a cancun.Overall, the food wasnt that bad. I would have given this place a 4 if their service was any better. But the service was below average for sure. They have been colombo for a long time now. They really need to up their game with respect to their service.
Food was not great and the service was awful. The staffs only concern was to ensure that they close the Kitchen at 2.30PM. From time to time they were reminding it and once the order was placed also they were very clear to say that they are closing at 2.30PM and cannot do any reorders or anything of that sort. This was 31st Lunch where a normal restaurant expects to serve customers even late. When we try to order desserts, instead of even offering something like Ice -cream (which I am sure they dont need the Kitchen to prepare), simply stated that they are closed. Will not step in there again.
