At the Kohuwala junction, contrary to their other gihans at nugegoda, is always filled with vehicles. This is mainly due to the option of bar seating and room reservation for a good crowd. Being the go to place for a fried rice from my office as it’s soo close, their food have never failed to impress us. The gihan’s special fried rice is their go to rice option which is enough to fulfill a meal without any curries. Their chicken sweet corn soup(small) is more than enough for 2 men with large appetites as well. Place is alittle messy given that there’s a bar opposite and the waiter’s give more attention to that area. It’s a good place for a men’s crowd looking for some cheap drinks, and also a good place to cache in for a good rice option. (takeaway recommended)
The management of Gihan’s should really consider and pay more attention about their employees as their service is really poor (Gihan’s chinese restaurant,wijerama).Actually when we go there for a meal, they do not pay even a little bit of attention and do not even look at us & therefore we have to remind them that we have come for a meal.The moods of the waiters are also not attractive for the customers & seems like they hate customers..Eventhough the food is in good quality, I’m sure the behaviour of these waiters will badly affect for Gihan’s .

When we called they didn’t care. After waiting I went near the counter and asked anyone could get the order. They informed it will take 1 hour to get the food in a very rude manner. Like we are pain for them. Us and the people who were there for nearly 30 min left. Saw good rating in this app. But for me worst place. Food I can’t say as we didn’t got a chance to taste. If I’m going back or recommend? Nope.
A little strange building for a restaurant. Like a house. Gets noisy in rush hours. Waiters can’t coordinate the rush. A little late service.
Poor Service Had a worse experience in the pub on January 1st. We had to wait for 30 minutes to get the waiter to our table to give our order. We tried asking the person in the pub counter to get us a waiter and he didn’t seem to care. Finally the bald headed waiter came to us after around 35 minutes and he gave this grumpy look like he was giving free booze to us. We decided to leave the place since we realized that if we wanted to order something later we might have to beg him for that. We managed to find another place nearby called “Serendib” just opposite the laughs.
